3-Way Champion Sandhill's Miss Mona
(Nitro X Stacey's Miss M)Birthdate: October 30, 2003OFA Good. Sandhill’s Miss Mona is a NALC Three-Way Champion. Her champion titles are Treeing Champion, Class B-Hog Bay Champion, and Class A-Hog Bay Champion. In the three show seasons from 2004 – 2007, when Mona was being actively campaigned, she was NALC nationally ranked in the top ten in either A-Bay, B-Bay, and/or Treeing. The 2004/2005 show season was Mona’s first year of competition, and she was ranked in the top ten NALC standings in both Treeing and B-Bay. Mona then went on to win the 2004/2005 NALC Nationals High Point Treeing Award for the year earning her first belt buckle, and also receiving a second place in the Class B-Hog Bay Nationals Competition -- both in her first year of competition!!! Mona earned her second belt buckle by winning the 2006/2007 Nationals Class A-Hog Bay Competition. At the 2010 NALC Florida Trial, Mona won a first place in the 2-dog B-Bay with her daughter Parlay; thus earning Mona the title of 3-Way Champion. Mona is retired from NALC events. If you want to see her in action, you will have to attend the open hog-baying events, which are by far her favorite. Mona is an extremely intense dog with tons of work, having gleaned a combination of the best traits from growing up with her mentors Callie & Tuff. Her disposition is very loving and loyal. She is a steadfast guard dog, being especially wary of any "varmints" that might venture onto the farm. Mona is a niece to Callie, and doing an excellent job of following in her footsteps. She is my best all-around working dog to date, and has produced outstanding puppies.
